A viral Facebook post has shown the moment an infant was rushed to the hospital after she was reportedly beaten to near death by her father.
The incident happened at an undisclosed location in Liberia on June 11.
The report was shared on Facebook by Samuel Enders, who is the founder of African Dream Children Health Clinic, where the victim was rushed to.
The post did not disclose the reason for the man’s inhuman action, but said he was immediately handed over to the police.
Giving an update on the incident in another Facebook post on June 16, Enders wrote: “In a country and a culture where child abuse is accepted including raping of babies, beating of children to death, putting children hands in the fire, not sending them to school, and a deep, deep acceptance of cover up, I will continue to stand up and speak.
“It is not politic when this child is brought for treatment with a report from the mother that it was the father’s doing and the clinic report such to the police, without compromise. You do not want a wicked father to go to jail or be held responsible so you say this is politic.
“Look at her face, where did she fall? Why justify wrong? Her face is her voice even though she can not speak. I want to make it very clear, I WILL, REPORT ALL ABUSES DISCOVERED AT THE African Dream Children health clinic. If you do not want to be reported, take it to another health center who will allow compromise so that the perpetrator continue to abuse others.
“Sadly, the news paper could not speak to me or the clinic. #hastagTIL ‘this is Liberia’. ‘Less talk, more work’.”
He also shared a more recent picture of the the victim, as she is gradually recovering from the assault.
