It was a day of glowing orations as the police in Imo held a ceremony to celebrate the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha as the Most Outstanding Police Governor of the Year.
The state commissioner of police, Mr Chris Ezike, also expressed gratitude to traditional rulers, other security agencies and communities that partnered with the police in crime fighting as he delivered a punchy panegyric and presented the award to Okorocha.
Dignitaries at the event included the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Mr Valentine Ntomchukwu and Dame Comfort Obi of the Police Service Commission.
