The first meeting of Ikeja Grammar School Old Students Association in 2019 is set to hold on Sunday, January 20, in the school hall at Bolade, Oshodi, in Lagos.
The National Secretary of the Alumni Association, Mr Kunle Ogunbi, said the meeting would start by 2 pm.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the association witnessed an increase in attendance last year and it embarked on several projects that further elevated the school.
The year also ushered in a new executive at a meeting attended by distinguished members including the Commissioner of Economic Planning and Budget of Lagos State, Mr Segun Banjo; the VC Lagos State University, Prof. Lanre Fagbohun; the Calabar Port Manager, Mrs Funmi Olotu; Prof S A Tella of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Dr Kunle Labinjo, Prof Femi Oloyede and a host of others.
The executive members comprise of: Mr. Abiodun Ibikunle – the President; Rev. Dr. Thomas Bode Babalola, Vice President; Mr Olakunle Ogunbi, General Secretary; Mr Adeniyi Adewunmi, Asst General Secretary; Barrister Bola Jarikre, Financial Secretary; Titilola Adebajo, Treasurer; Ridwan Akinbiyi, Social Secretary; Dipo Kehinde, Publicity Secretary/Public Relations Officer; Mrs Akiyemi Rashidat, Welfare Officer, Dr J. A. Kadiri, Ex- Officio, and Mrs Bode Adetola Adetokunbo, Ex- Officio.
