Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to international capacity building and global best practices as three Nigerian officers graduated from the prestigious Abu Dhabi Police College in the United Arab Emirates.
The IGP, who was represented by the Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, Lagos Annex, CP Bode Ojajuni, made the declaration at the graduation ceremony held under the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and UAE Ministry of Interior Police Academy Exchange Programme.
According to him, the participation of Nigerian officers in international training platforms remains a strategic priority for the NPF, aimed at strengthening professionalism, operational response capabilities and adherence to globally accepted law enforcement standards.

The four-month intensive basic academy training programme brought together 52 police officers drawn from 44 police agencies across 35 countries, underscoring the programme’s global outlook and collaborative spirit.
Among the graduating officers from Nigeria were DSP Abdullah Yusuf, ASP Faith Asigidi and Inspector Noah Joseph, all serving with the INTERPOL Bureau of the Nigeria Police Force. Their successful completion of the programme, the IGP noted, reflects the growing competence and international relevance of Nigerian policing professionals.
The high-profile graduation ceremony was attended by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, alongside top Emirati government officials, senior police representatives and distinguished dignitaries from participating countries.
The Nigeria Police Force described the development as another milestone in its ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation, knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships in modern policing.
The event further reinforces Nigeria’s active participation in global security networks and its resolve to equip officers with cutting-edge skills to effectively respond to evolving security challenges at home and abroad.
