Newly promoted Commissioners of Police (CP) were decorated today by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at a ceremony with those newly confirmed at the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, in Abuja.
They comprised of officers promoted and confirmed earlier in the year and those whose promotions were released as substantive CPs by the Police Service Commission this December.
Prominent among CPs at the event today are Lagos CP, Mr Edgal Imohimi; Edo State CP, Mr Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, Mr Isaac Olutayo Akimoyede, and Mr Omololu Shamsideen Bishi.
Others are Mr Awunah Donald, Mr Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, Mr Garba Umar, Mr Bello Ahmed, Mr Aminu Saleh, Mr Makama Hamisu Usman, Mr Mobolaji Olaniyi Fafowora, Mr Igbodo David, Mr Danjuma Mohammed Ibrahim, Mr Okon Etim Ene, Mr Abang B. John, Mr Aminu Kwabe, Mr Ibrahim Umar, Mr Joseph Gobum Mukan, Mr Wakilu Mohammed, and Mr Abdullahi Yerima Ibrahim.
