A Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) was announced today as a replacement for the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Ag CP Don Awunah, who has been posted to take charge of Akwa Ibom State Command.
CSP Jimoh Olohundare Moshood was appointed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, as a substantive FPRO, Newsmakers learnt from a police statement, signed by the Admin Officer at FPRO’s office, SP Benjamin J Achegbani.
Moshood hails from Ilorin, Kwara State. He holds a BSc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was once a Police Public Relations Officer, at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, where he got commendations for diligent and excellent performance.
He attended several courses within and outside the country. Among them are Crime Prevention Of Korea Police, at Police Training Institute, Seoul, South Korea; Training Course on Anti – Hijacking Techniques and Tactics for Developing Countries at Special Police Academy, Beijing, China. He is a member of Nigeria Institutes of Public Relations; member of Africa Business School, Abuja, and Associate Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.
He had served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force as DPO Central Area, Abuja between 2012 and 2013 and CSP in charge of Department of Finance and Administration, FCT Police Command, Abuja, among others.
Until his appointment, Moshood was the Deputy FPRO, FHQ Abuja.
