How Obasanjo Changed My Lifestyle – Nigerian Journalist

A Nigerian journalist has narrated how his relationship with former President Olusegun Obasanjo transformed his lifestyle.

Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, who is the founder of Penpushing Media disclosed that his relationship with Obasanjo has transformed his lifestyle in being committed to exhibiting good behaviour and conduct, as well as developing thick skin on controversial issues

He made the disclosure in his goodwill message at the 86th birthday reception of Obasanjo held on Sunday  at Marquee Events Centre, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

“I will rather call this my goodwill message a confessional statement. I am publicly saying this, that my relationship with Baba Obasanjo has transformed my lifestyle, in exhibiting good conduct wherever and anywhere I find myself. Anytime, I noticed or realized I want to misbehave, when I remember Obasanjo and  my relationship with him, I often retraced my steps. The relationship has also taught me to develop thick skin on controversial issues,” Kayode-Adedeji said.

The former Zonal Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) recalled that when Obasanjo about 10 years ago, sponsored his birthday, he was so excited and could not believe the Presidential honour bestowed on him, adding that the gesture also added value to his status globally.

Kayode-Adedeji said, “I want to use this opportunity to again publicly thank and appreciate Baba Obasanjo for this honour bestowed on me about 10 years ago when he personally sponsored my birthday. It’s a gesture that has remained indelible in my memory, which also added value to my life and status. Baba, God will continue to bless you.”

He added that Obasanjo was no doubt a great personality across the globe, known to cherish and respect culture and tradition, as well as being  a fearless and blunt personality who has remained a relevant factor across the globe.

The member of Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE) and Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) described the former President as a man of many parts and cerebral as well as a special breed created by God to contribute his quota to humanity as assigned by his creator.
