Details have emerged on the personality of Mrs Bernadette Tohouo, the Hungarian wife of the Managing Director of Maersk Nigeria Limited, who was murdered at her Ikoyi home on Sunday night.
NewsmakersNG’s investigations revealed that the late Mrs Tohouo was an angel who adored children, loved God, and dedicated her life to the service of humanity.
Reacting to the story of the December 8 murder of Mrs Tohouo by domestic staff at an estate on Lugard Avenue, a sympathizer, Damola Adejuwon, wrote: “Oh no there are monsters in this world. May Bernadette’s soul rest in peace and may the 3 young children and her husband she left behind be comforted by our heavenly father. Her role as APEEF vice president at Lycee Francais Louis Pasteur will always be appreciated.”
Mrs Tohouo was the Vice-President, Association Petite Enfance, Enfance et Famille (APEEF). It’s a parents association and a registered charity to which she made immense contributions.

Before then, the intruders had forced her to transfer money to their bank accounts.
Her Cameroonian husband, Mr Gildas Tohouo, who was locked in a separate room during the attack, is still battling for life at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos, due to injuries inflicted on him.
In a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, the suspected attackers identified as Ade Akanbi and Olamide Adegoke, a maintenance manager and a guard at the estate, struck after causing a power outage at the end of a party held in the building.
At about 11.30 pm the suspected killers knocked at the victims’ door and offer to assist them in fixing the electrical fault.
