A former student of Alimosho Senior High School in Lagos has narrated how he survived for over one year with a bullet unknowingly lodged in his skull.

The student, who identified himself as Electron Dc on Facebook, but was referred to as Daniel by some of his friends, gave an account of his experience in a post he shared yesterday.

The bullet was eventually extracted at a hospital on Tuesday after it had been lodged in his skull for about 13 months.

According to him, he was on his way to a friend’s birthday party on July 17 last year when he felt something hit him on the head and blood started coming out from the spot.

He said he at first used ice block to control the bleeding and later went to a chemist shop where the attendant assured him it was nothing to worry about and gave him some drugs to take.

The wound however refused to heal since that time despite all the drugs he had taken until September 2 this year when he said that the spirit of God directed him to go to the hospital.

He subsequently invited a friend who accompanied him to an undisclosed hospital where the doctor carried a procedure to extract the bullet from his skull.

There were indications however that the situation might have caused some damages to his central nervous system as he told some of his Facebook friends that his hands used to shake uncontrollably sometimes.
