Tracka.ng has exposed how the Federal Government allocated N10 million for a project, which was abandoned midway in Imo State last year.
Tracka.ng is a project by BudgIT which enables citizens collaborate, track and give feedback on public projects in their community.
According to a tweet by Tracka.ng on its handle, @TrackaNG, the project comprised a VIP toilet and a borehole in Orire Mbieri, in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state.
But at the time the project was reported to have been completed and delivered to the host community, no single toilet could be seen anywhere.
The tweet read: “N10m was allocated in the the 2018 budget for the construction of VIP toilet with borehole in Orire Mbieri in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru LGA, Imo State. We report the project as completed and serving the people of the community.
“No VIP toilet was constructed.”
