Hoodlums Disrupt Activities in Lagos

Segun Atanda/

Activities were paralysed in some parts of Lagos today during a gang war along Onipanu axis of Ikorodu Road.

According to eyewitnesses the hoodlums known as area boys, this morning, spread the fight in which dangerous weapons were freely used to other parts of the inland carriageway.

The eyewitnesses told NewsmakersNG that the violent clash, which resulted from a leadership tussle, had already spread to Palmgroove and Fadeyi areas of the Lagos Mainland.

NewsmakersNG learnt that most parts of Ikorodu road had been deserted as motorists were forced to find alternative routes, while traders have locked up their shops for fear of their wares being looted.

The police were busy tackling the situation as at the time of writing this report.
