Seven members of the Police Management Team who are Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) are going on forced retirement as President Muhammadu Buhari appoints their junior officer, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Abubakar Adamu Mohammed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The affected DIGs who served with the outgoing IGP Ibrahim Idris include: DIG Maigari A. Dikko who is in charge of the Department of Administration and Finance; DIG Joshak Habila of the Department of Operations; DIG Oshodi-Glover Agboola (Department of Logistics and Supply); DIG Peace Ibekwe-Abdallah of the Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department; DIG Muhammad Musa Katsina (Department of Research and Planning), and DIG Emmanuel Tom Inyang (Department of Information and Communication Technology).
