Gunmen have killed a pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All, Reverend Ayuba Choji, alongside his wife and two children in a fresh attack in Plateau State.
The incident occurred in Gako village, Rim Ward of Riyom Local Government Area.
According to multiple reports, the assailants stormed the community late on Sunday night, opening fire on residents.
The victims were identified as Rev. Choji, his wife Chundung, and their two children, Cyril and Endurance.
Residents said the family was attacked at about 11pm, with the gunmen shooting indiscriminately before fleeing the area.
Local sources described the killings as part of a recurring pattern of violence in Riyom and surrounding communities, where armed attacks have continued despite security operations.
Reports indicate that the latest incident has heightened fear among residents, many of whom have repeatedly called for increased protection.
The Evangelical Church Winning All, one of Nigeria’s prominent Christian denominations, has in recent years seen its members and clergy targeted in violent attacks, particularly in northern and central parts of the country.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no immediate official statement from security agencies on the latest killings.
