Gunmen Abduct Ondo High Court Judge, Demand N50M Ransom

Gunmen who abducted a judge of the Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State, Justice Abdul Dogo, on his way from Abuja have demanded a N50 million ransom.

The gunmen also abducted the judge’s driver after they were attacked somewhere in Edo State yesterday.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the kidnappers contacted the family of the judge today to demand the ransom.

Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Femi Joseph, reportedly said he didn’t have full details of the incident because it took place outside his jurisdiction.

The state governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has however called on police authorities in Ondo and Edo States to synergise and ensure the early rescue of the victims.
