One of Nigeria’s most enduring entertainment personalities, Prof. Sir Victor Uwaifo, is dead.
Sources confirmed that he died today during a brief illness.
Uwaifo cut a niche for himself as a musicologist, musician, writer, sculptor, musical instrument inventor, don and entertainer.
He was the first Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria.
He would be remembered for his sterling contributions to the music industry.
His Guitar Boy track remains an evergreen that will continue to endure for many generations.
