The Guild of Professional Bloggers of Nigeria (GPBN) has unveiled its newly elected Executive Council after a vibrant nationwide election that drew active participation from members across the country.
Following a keenly contested race, the following officers emerged victorious and have since been formally inaugurated to lead the guild:
• Damilare Bankole – National President
- Favour Benson – National Vice President
• Mutiu Adesina Okediran – General Secretary
• Angela Davies – National Treasurer
• Abiola Alaba Peters – Director of Communication
Speaking at the handover ceremony, President Emeritus Chris Kehinde Nwandu (CKN) congratulated the new leaders on their emergence and urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical practice. He tasked the incoming team with driving the guild forward while safeguarding its values and credibility.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Damilare Bankole, expressed deep gratitude to members for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to prioritise members welfare, expand the guild’s influence within Nigeria’s digital media landscape, and strengthen unity among practitioners.
Bankole also extended an olive branch to his fellow contestants, calling on them to join hands with the new administration in building a stronger and more impactful guild.
“GPBN is poised for a new era of growth, innovation, and elevated professional standards under this refreshed leadership,” Bankole said.
