Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom reportedly escaped death today when his convoy was attacked by bandits.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident happened at Tyo Mu along Makurdi/Gboko Road around noon, as the Governor was on his way to Makurdi.
Reports say the gunmen opened fire on his convoy but were repelled by his security aides.
