Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, today led residents of Ibadan, the state capital, on a solidarity walk to mark this year’s International Anti-Corruption Day, with the theme, ‘Zero Tolerance to Corruption’.

The solidarity walk was organised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal Office.

The governor shared photos of the walk on his Twitter handle, @seyimakinde.

He also disclosed that he would be signing the Oyo State Financial Crimes Commission Bill into law this week.

The governor wrote: “The fight against corruption is the responsibility of all of us, as citizens. It is important that if we see corrupt practices in any sphere of government, we say something to the authorities. We, in turn should not engage in corrupt practices.

“Our administration has shown our commitment to minimise corruption and its impact in Oyo State, by transmitting the Oyo State Financial Crimes Commission Bill which was recently passed into law by the Oyo State House of Assembly and will receive my assent this week.”
