Detectives in Abuja have arrested a female kidnapper and rescued a 4-year-old child abducted in Nasarawa State.
According to police spokesman, Don Awunah, operatives of the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) Intelligence Response Team received a report last Tuesday that a 4-year old boy named Peter Okpe was kidnapped at Cassava market area of Masaka in Nasarawa State by an unknown woman.
Intelligence Officers were deployed and they were able to track the kidnapper with the support of the Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) at about 6pm yesterday.
The suspect was identified as one Patience Benedict (25). She’s a native of Kagoma in Kaduna State. She was arrested at Phase 4 area of Kubwa in Abuja.
Police say the abducted child was rescued unhurt.
