It was a night of honour in Sao Paulo Tuesday as Google Brazil celebrates top digital journalists and YouTubers at the launching of the Latin American most glamorous Afro magazine – Revista Raça.
The event held at the Google headquarters, in the Google Plaza, Sao Paulo, Brazil paraded top African and African-Brazilian celebrities including the President of the Afro digital YouTube channel, African Cultural Centre, Otunba Adekunle Aderounmu; NewsmakersNG’s Editor at large, Adeyinka Olaiya; YouTubers – Sah Oliveira, AD Junior, Spartakus Santiago, Débora luz, Ana Paula Xongani, Ti Nina Silva and the executives, Bruno Vicente Pimentel, Ivan Lima.
The event according to the President of the Revista RAÇA, Brazil, Former Sao Paulo state commissioner for racial equality, Mr Mauricio Pestana, was to commend the impacts of the Africans and African Americans in digital journalism. He congratulated everyone present and commended the presence of the rave of the moment Nigerian online publication in Latin America, NewsmakersNG, at the occasion. The Google president also commended the efforts of all Afro digital journalists and media outfits at the event.
