The late Mike Ola Kakanfo

Global Voice Media has expressed profound grief over the passing of one of its most dependable allies and community leaders, Mike Ola Kakanfo, fondly called Baron.

In a tribute released by the organization, Kakanfo was described as a “devoted leader, strategist, and community builder” whose contributions to politics, public service, and grassroots mobilization left a lasting imprint on Alimosho Local Government and beyond.

The statement highlighted what it described as his distinguished record in political and civic engagement, from his days as a campaign manager, strategist, and adviser, to his exemplary service as a frontline civil servant known for competence, humility, and steadfast commitment to the public good.

“His towering presence, both in stature and intellect, made him an unforgettable force in every space he occupied, articulate, persuasive, and ever strategic in his approach to issues,” Global Voice Media stated.

The organization extended condolences to his aged mother, wife, and daughter, noting that his death has created a deep void not only within his family but also among his numerous associates, protégés, and colleagues across Nigeria’s political landscape.
