Former Special Adviser on Media to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, who was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) after criticising President Muhammadu Buhari, has relocated abroad.
In a Twitter post five hours ago, Yakasai, popularly known as Dawisu, wrote: “Japa….. Goodbye Naija! Alhamdulilah!”
‘Japa’ is a street parlance for permanent relocation from Nigeria.
He also shared pictures of himself at the airport and the airline he was flying with.
He however did not indicate where he was heading to.
Last month, Yakasai was picked up by the DSS after he criticised Buhari’s administration on Twitter.
He had asked the president to resign from office following the abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Zamfara state.
“Clearly, we as APC government, at all levels, have failed Nigerians in the number 1 duty we were elected to do which is to secure lives & properties. Not a single day goes by without some sort of insecurity in this land. This is a shame! Deal with terrorists decisively or resign,” Yakasai had tweeted.
He was released by the agency two days after he was picked up.
