Friends Mourn Undergraduate Voter Shot Dead 24 Hours After Preaching Against Election Violence

Malik Yahya/

Friends have taken to social media to mourn an undergraduate student of Kogi State University, Daniel Usman, who was killed by stray bullets fired by suspected thugs while waiting to cast his ballots at a polling unit in Anyigba, Kogi State this morning.

The deceased who had used his Facebook page to preach against election violence yesterday had gone to the polling unit with his PVC when tragedy struck.

Usman’s last Facebook post in which he preached against election violence.

The deceased Facebook message was apparently popular among his friends as it had already been shared 65 times.

Ironically, the post also happened to be his last.

Below are some of the Facebook posts by his friends mourning his tragic death.
