France has won the 2018 World Cup today, beating Croatia 4-2 in Moscow.
It’s the country’s second World Cup victory. The first was on home soil in 1998.
NewsmakersNG reports that Croatia scored an own goal and conceded a penalty to put France in the lead at halftime in Moscow today in the World Cup final.

Mario Mandzokic’s defensive header in the 8th minute went into his sides’ net, but his teammate, Ivan Peristic soon levelled up with a powerful kick that sent the ball into France’s goalpost.
France again shot into the lead in the 38th minute, when the Croatia side conceded a penalty.
Paul Pogba increased the tally to 3 for France in the 59th minute, and a 4th goal was added by Kylian Mbappe in the 65th minute.
Croatia cut France lead to 4-2 in the 69th minute when Mandzokic redeemed his earlier error by scoring the second goal for his side when the Franch goalie let down his guard.
