Former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Solomon Ehigiator Arase has celebrated former President Muhammadu Buhari on the occasion of his 82nd birthday, lauding his unwavering leadership, integrity, and contributions to Nigeria’s development.

In his message, Arase described Buhari’s life as a “journey of sacrifice, discipline, and steadfast commitment to the progress and unity” of Nigeria. Reflecting on the former President’s decades of public service—from his early days as a young military officer to his tenure as Head of State and later as a democratically elected President—Arase commended his principles and values, which have inspired generations.

“Your relentless fight against corruption, dedication to strengthening national security, and focus on infrastructural development have set foundations that will benefit our country for years to come,” Arase stated.

The former IGP also expressed gratitude to Buhari for the trust placed in him during his administration, first as the Inspector General of Police and subsequently as the Chairman of the Police Service Commission. He acknowledged these roles as profound opportunities to serve Nigeria and contribute meaningfully to Buhari’s vision for a safer and more prosperous nation.

“Your faith in my ability remains a profound honour that I will always cherish,” Arase stated.

Highlighting Buhari’s enduring qualities of humility, simplicity, and moral uprightness, Arase praised the former President as a beacon of inspiration to many.

His words: “As you turn 82, I pray that Almighty Allah grants you good health, peace, and fulfillment. Your legacy will forever shine in the hearts of Nigerians.”
