The former Minister of Health, Dr. Haliru Alhassan has died at the age of 66.
Daily Trust reports that Alhassan died on Sunday around 12 noon during a brief illness.
The former minister was allegedly diabetic before his death.
He will be buried at the Hubbaran Shehu burial ground, today.
Alhassan was the minister of state for health and later minister of health under Goodluck Jonathan.
He is survived by one wife and four children.
