A top traditional ruler in Kogi State, Alhaji Shaibu Usman, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Usman, who is the Eje of Ankpa, was kidnapped at about 5:30am today, while early morning prayer.
The kidnappers had reportedly laid ambush for the monarch and grabbed him as he was about stepping into the mosque.
The gunmen immediately bundled him into a waiting vehicle and zoomed off.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the abductors are yet to make any contact with the monarch’s family.
