A fire outbreak has been reported at the headquarters of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Abuja, sparking emergency response and raising concerns over safety at one of the nation’s most critical public institutions.

The incident occurred on the fourth floor of the FIRS headquarters located at 15, Sokode Crescent, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja. As of the time of filing this report, details surrounding the cause of the fire and the extent of damage remain sketchy.

Eyewitnesses said emergency responders were swiftly mobilised to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the multi-storey complex. Firefighters were seen battling the flames as security personnel cordoned off the area to ensure public safety.
