Preparations for the forthcoming AGLOFEST gathered momentum today as an Inter-Ministerial Committee met in Abuja to fine-tune plans for the successful staging of the cultural and creative event.
The high-level meeting brought together representatives of the event promoter, T-BYK, alongside key government ministries, security agencies and cultural institutions to coordinate logistics, security, investment opportunities and international participation.
Those represented at the meeting included the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, the Federal Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC), the Nigeria Police Force, and the Department of State Services (DSS).
Participants deliberated on collaborative strategies aimed at ensuring a seamless and secure festival while positioning AGLOFEST as a major platform for promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, tourism, trade, investment and the creative economy.
The committee reaffirmed its commitment to inter-agency collaboration to deliver a world-class event capable of showcasing Nigeria’s cultural diversity and strengthening the country’s global cultural and economic profile.
