The Federal Executive Council is deliberating on reducing the pump price of petrol at its ongoing weekly meeting in Abuja.
This followed a presentation by Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, in which he notified council that the landing cost of petrol dropped to N65 on Monday.
Data made available by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency shows that the landing cost of petrol is now N64.32 per litre.
