Respite appears to have finally come the way of respected Nollywood star, Victor Olaotan, who has been battling to regain his health after a ghastly auto accident that has rendered him partially paralyzed for two years.
Billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola, has offered to offset the cost of his life-saving medical treatment abroad.
This development was disclosed by fellow actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, in an Instagram post today.
NewmakersNG learnt that Otedola personally visited the home of the ailing actor in Ogba, Lagos yesterday.
His family, mainly his wife, Julia, has spent fortunes to keep him alive since the accident which occurred around Surulere while he was returning from a movie set two years ago.
The family was however advised recently to fly the ailing actor abroad for further treatment to guarantee any hope of improvement in his condition.
The family consequently launched a GoFundMe campaign for this purpose three days ago before Otedola’s gracious intervention.
The intro to the GoFundMe campaign reads:
“Victor Toye Olaotan has brought Joy to teeming viewers on stage, Television and the big screen through his solid work as a professional actor. For the last two years he has been incapacitated following an accident. Victor is still fighting and he has been advised to seek medical attention outside our nigerian shores. We implore your help in raising the funds.”
The campaign has already raised over $10,000.
