The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched a three-day community outreach to mark National Police Day 2025, reinforcing its commitment to crime prevention and public safety.
With the theme “Say NO to Crime”, the initiative aims to address pressing social issues such as cultism, drug abuse, sexual-based violence, cybercrime, and kidnapping. The event, running from April 3rd to 5th, underscores the shared responsibility between law enforcement and the public in fostering a safer society.
Kicking off the program, Commissioner of Police Ajao S. Adewale led officers in a community clean-up exercise at Lagos Street, Garki, and the Palace of the Sa’peyi of Garki. The activity emphasized the role of a clean environment in promoting security and community well-being.

Commending the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, for his dedication to community policing, CP Adewale reiterated the force’s commitment to strengthening ties with the public beyond conventional law enforcement duties.
The FCT Police Command called on residents to actively participate in the outreach program and remain vigilant. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities via the emergency hotlines 08032003913, 08028940883.
