Father Allegedly Sets 2 Children Ablaze over Allegation of Witchcraft

A man identified as Nyam Choji has allegedly set ablaze his 11-year-old son and five-year-old daughter after accusing them of witchcraft.

The incident reportedly happened on Friday at Shen village in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The acting Police Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP Uba Gabriel, confirmed the incident today.

He gave the names of the victims as Godsgift Nyam and Mary Nyam.

Gabriel said the man was currently at large but promised that the police would eventually track him down.

He added that the victims were receiving treatment at the Plateau Specialist Hospital in Jos.
