Facebook Users Taunt OAU Sex-for-mark Student

Facebook users have been taunting the alleged lady, Monica Osagie, at the centre of the Obafemi Awolowo University’s sex-for-mark scandal, since the school authorities made her name public.

The university authorities had on Thursday announced the indefinite suspension of the lecturer involved in the scandal, Prof. Richard Akindele, having allegedly found him culpable during preliminary investigation.

Several users have been making comments on her Facebook page, with some condemning her refusal to appear before the panel to prove her case, while others considered her class too low to have attracted the professor’s attention.

One Frank Carter Ibeaja wrote: “so prof no see better slay queens to knack en come be you with face like #wakanda they should flog sense into that useless prof.”

Oyewumi Oyekunle write: “Why prof no go won chop. U don use cream Whitening body finish.”

Prince Nsikak-Abasi wrote: “u look like a man, ABI Na jass u use for d prof.”

Oba Onasanya Tiva wrote: “Sex for marks in our Universities is a menace that should be exposed. Likewise your promotion of skin bleaching/whitening using dangerous chemicals is a bigger menace that should be put on focus too. He that must come to equity must come with clean hands. He that lives in a glass house must not the throw stones. This could be a good and a bad publicity for you. You could have handled this in a better way. If I were you, I could have taken such evidence to the Vice Chancellor or appropriate university authorities rather than subject the great University of Ife into ridicule. You have simply portrayed the University in bad light and it could generate terrible consequences. The Prof might not come out of this and the wrath of his supporters might haunt you for life. Wishing you all the best.”

Another Facebook user, Paul Sullivan wrote: “You are right. BOTH PARTIES ARE GUILTY AND SHOULD BE CONDEMNED. But a smart lawyer for the prof could have easily punctured the idiot’s YouTube evidence thus raising A VERY REASONABLE DOUBT. That means the stupid girl will not even have any case in the first place! Instead of most nigerian girls to be studious, read their books and pass their exams, thy prefer to use their private parts with nothing upstairs!”

Meanwhile, another commentator, Oyedamilola Kingdammo Daniel, who wrote in solidarity with the embattled lady, wrote: “Go show in front of d investigating committee, of oau,for further prove on ur allegation againsprof Richard akindele there is nothing they can do to u if u keep hidden, it will bounce back on u,we greatest Nigeria students are in support of you,nothing will happen to you,just to be lesson for other lecturers that are doing so, please do.”

Hours after her page was bombarded, she is yet to react to any of the comments.

Her Facebook page shows that she graduated from OAU and now lives in Lagos, where she markets beauty products.
