The information provided by the eyewitnesses also assisted the police in rescuing the victim of the accident, who suffered multiple fractures, alive.

The eyewitnesses had reportedly chased the vehicle involved in the accident and took its vital details, which they immediately shared with with the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos police command, via its Twitter handle, @rrslagos767.

The suspect was subsequently arrested yesterday and the vehicle recovered from where it was hidden in Gbagada.
