Explosion Rocks Old Ekiti Govt House

There was pandemonium in Okesha area of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State this morning as a bomb went off around the old government house.

The explosion reportedly brought down a building around the area and also affected a section of the state ministry of chieftaincy affairs.

The explosion also damaged other buildings in the premises, NewsmakersNG learnt.

Commissioner of Police, Amba Asuquo, had visited the scene of the blast.

He said preliminary investigation revealed that the bomb might have gone off from the explosive ordnance office (EOD) house within the premises.

“Let my men from anti-bomb department check around. Officers of the anti-bomb are combing the place as you can see,” he said.
