Fuji fans in Brazil thronged the Guarulhos International Airport today as Nigerian leading ambassador of the music genre, King Saheed Osupa, landed in Sao Paulo.
Osupa is billed to thrill Brazilian fans on Friday, September 13, at the Sambary Love Club and Play Centre. He will also perform on September 15, at the Mary Pop Club, Sao Paulo, before heading for Curitiba and Bahia where he would end the show.
Osupa arrived Sao Paulo at about 3 pm Brazilian time today, which is 7 pm Nigerian time. The trip is his first-ever Latin American tour. He is expected to play in three different regions including the Salvador, Bahia, a region considered as Yorubaland in Latin America.
The event is promoted by the African Music and Cultural Limited, KB Jewelries, and Kamiluiz Nigeria Limited.
“This is the beginning of good things to happen between Nigeria and Brazil. We also expect to dance to 2face Idibia come October 4 in Sao Paulo,” Otunba Adekunle Aderounmu told NewsmakersNG’s Editor-at-Large in Brazil, Adeyinka Olaiya.
Alhaji Kimmy Apena and Wole Orotoye, the promoting partners of the event said that they would let Brazil know “what the Yoruba culture is made up of”.
