Former US President, Barak Obama, has named two Nigerian artistes, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy and Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, among his favourite musicians this year.
In a post on his social media pages today Obama listed Anybody from Burna Boy’s award-winning album, African Giant and Rema’s Iron Man among his top 35 music tracks in the outgoing year.
Obama wrote, “From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”
