#EndSARS: Thugs Attack Protesters in Abuja, Set their Cars on Fire

Malik Yahya/

Suspected thugs have attacked some #EndSARS protesters in Abuja, burning down their cars.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident happened around Kabusa junction in the Apo district, at 6pm.

The protesters had converged on Dan Kogi, a junction close to a Shoprite mall, where they barricaded the road and displayed their placards.

Their attackers reportedly arrived from nowhere, causing the protesters to flee in different directions.

The violence caused panic among residents of the area who were caught in the attack.

Security personnel at the scene were said to have failed to stop the rioters from attacking the protesters.

There were reports that two persons died but this could not be immediately confirmed.

The latest attack comes 24 hours after the death of Anthony Onome, an Abuja resident who was stabbed while marching with other protesters on Saturday.
