Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Farm and the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel in Ota will be the rallying point today for young Nigerians protesting against police brutality and other irregularities in the Nigerian system, NewsmakersNG gathered as the widespreading #EndSARS enters its 12th day today.
The plan to storm Obasanjo Farm and the Winners Chapel Church in Ota area of Ogun State was announced at the #EndSARS rally that locked down the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway at Sango area for hours yesterday.
The protesters also blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and some other major highways yesterday.
The protests started as a social media campaign on Twitter using the hashtag #EndSARS to demand for the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
It has received huge presence and financial support across the world.
The protests have also been staged in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
According to NewsmakersNG’s Editor-at-Large in Brazil, the #EndSARS protest would be staged in Sao Paulo tomorrow.
