Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, and his lawyers were absent in court when his suit against popular microbloggging site, Twitter and its chief executive officer, Jack Dorsey, was called at the federal high court, Abuja, today.
Garba and his lawyers also did not give any excuse for their absence.
Only a lawyer who had earlier filed a defence on behalf of Twitter and Dorsey, Tope Akinyode, was present in court.
The presiding judge consequently adjourned the suit till April 22, 2021.
It can be recalled that earlier in October, Dorsey, in a tweet, called for bitcoin donations to support the #EndSARS protesters but was threatened by Garba who later filed a lawsuit against the Twitter CEO for allegedly inciting violence through his endorsement of the #EndSARS campaign against police brutality, extortion and extrajudicial killings of Nigerian youths.
In his petition, Mr Garba asked the court to ban the use of Twitter in Nigeria and order Jack to pay a sum of one billion US dollars as damages to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The protests which went on peacefully for about two weeks later turned violent after it was hijacked by allegedly sponsored thugs.
