Seven journalists have been reportedly abducted by gunmen suspected to be militants in Rivers State.
Report of the abduction came on heels of earlier uncomfirmed reports of shooting of two people in the state, one of whom later died.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the journalists were abducted in Ahoada West Local Government Area of the state, while on election coverage duty.
The victims, including two staff of Port Harcourt-based CoolWazobiaInfo FM, were reportedly freed unhurt after being held hostage for hours by their abductors.
