Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has arrived in Awe town, Nasarawa State, to visit Muhammad Sanusi II, the recently deposed emir of Kano.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the governor arrived in a seven-car convoy at about 12.47pm.

It was learnt that Sanusi may be allowed to step outside for the first time to attend Jumat prayer with his visitor.

El-Rufai had earlier disclosed in a Facebook post today that he was on his way to visit Sanusi.

El-Rufai appointed Sanusi as the Pro-chancellor of the Kaduna State University as well as the Vice-Chairman of the state’s investment board barely 24 hours after he was dethroned.
