THE Ibadan Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign three members of the Governing Council of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), including the Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe on Friday, November 25.
EFCC sources exclusively told NewsMakers that Ogunlewe would be arraigned alongside the Vice Chancellor, Prof Olusola Oyewole, and the Bursar, Mr. Moses Olusola Ilesanmi, at the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, over an alleged case of ‘Abuse of Office and Misappropriation of Funds’ reported against the management and some members of the Governing Council.
A petition submitted to the EFCC by the Concerned Stakeholders of FUNAAB says the Pro Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor and the Bursar engaged in “unbridled corruption and betrayal of public trust”.
Ogunlewe had earlier been quizzed at the Iyaganku office of the EFCC, Ibadan, on August 31, 2016 over the allegation.
