Reports say former governor of Jigawa State, Saminu Turaki, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former governor is currently standing trial on corruption charges during his tenure.
An arrest warrant was issued against Turaki, following his repeated failure to appear in court for the continuation of his trial.
Turaki might remain in EFCC custody until the date of the next court sitting.
NewsmakersNG could not confirm the former governor’s arrest at the time of filing this report.
