Edo Records Highest Daily Figure, as NCDC Confirms 561 New COVID-19 Cases, 17 Deaths

Edo State recorded its highest daily COVID-19 tally today, as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms 561 new cases in the country.

The centre also announced 17 new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, while the total number of cases in the country has reached 25,694.

Lagos State remained the epicentre of the disease with 200 new cases, while Kaduna and the federal capital territory recorded 52 cases each.

According to the centre, a total of 9,746 persons have recovered from the disease, while 590 have died.
