The Department of State Services (DSS) has warned Nigerians to beware of one Barry Donald, a dismissed staff of the Service, who is reportedly using the agency’s name to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
In a statement posted on its official X handle, @OfficialDSSNG, the Service described Donald’s actions as “unscrupulous,” advising citizens to avoid any dealings with him.
The DSS urged members of the public to direct all official requests, enquiries, or complaints to its verified communication channels—telephone number 09088373515 or email dsspr@dss.gov.ng.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the public from fraudsters misrepresenting its name or operations.
