The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the dismissal of 115 personnel as part of an ongoing internal reform initiative aimed at strengthening professionalism and integrity within the agency.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the service disclosed that the dismissals occurred “over a period” and that the identities of those dismissed have been published on its official website.
The publication of names is intended to protect the public from individuals posing as active operatives of the service.
The DSS specifically referenced two former operatives, Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, who had earlier been flagged for fraudulent activities.
According to the statement, the measure forms part of a wider “clean-up” effort within the agency designed to restore public trust and ensure accountability.
The list of dismissed personnel serves as a public alert. Any dealings with them should be regarded as unofficial and potentially fraudulent.
Members of the public and organisations are encouraged to verify the identity of anyone claiming to represent the service.
Further information, complaints or enquiries can be directed to the DSS via the official contact channels listed on its website.
