Dry Season Forcing Boko Haram to Change Location – Exiled Journalist, Salkida

Malik Yahya/

Boko Haram terrorists are reportedly moving their operational bases from the present locations in the Lake Chad area due to the onset of the harmattan season.

Exiled Nigerian journalist, Ahmad Salkida, disclosed this on Twitter.

Quoting sources, Salkida said the insurgents have begun moving their camps to locations more favourable to survive the approaching dry season.

The tweet also suggested that this is the period the insurgents are more vulnerable to military offensive because they have leaner resources and fewer places to hide.
