A drunk man reportedly left his car where he parked it at the New Afrika Shrine in Agidingbi yesterday night and wandered off to Ikeja, a few kilometres away, to sleep by the roadside till this morning.

Men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command who were on routine patrol along Obafemi Awolowo Way reportedly found the unidentified lying unconscious by the roadside.

The RRS shared a report of the incident on its Facebook page about one hour ago.

The man who was found to be intoxicated was later revived after which he took policemen to where he had abandoned his car.

The man after he was revived by the RRS officers.

He reportedly confessed that he did not know how he got to the point where he was found and rescued.

“Friday Flexin’: Early this morning, RRS officers on Patrol along Awolowo Way, Ikeja found this man lying unconsciously by the road side.

“He was immediately rushed to our ambulance section where it was discovered he was intoxicated.

“He was revived some hours later and then he took us to where his car was parked at the Shrine, Alausa Business District, Ikeja.

“He claimed not knowing how he ‘wandered’ away from where it was parked.”
